About the program

Across Kenya, the rising rates of mental health challenges and suicide cases have become a growing concern, particularly among vulnerable communities, youth, and children. Limited access to mental health services has left many individuals without the support they urgently need. At UCESCO Africa, we believe in restoring hope, dignity, and emotional well-being through compassionate, community-centered care. We are seeking passionate and dedicated volunteers to be part of a transformative movement of healing and restoration. As a volunteer, you will work hand-in-hand with experienced local counselors and community leaders to provide essential psychosocial support services. Your role will include: Offering emotional and social support to individuals facing mental health challenges, assisting in community outreach and awareness program, Supporting children and youth through mentorship and safe spaces, Contributing to stigma reduction and mental health education initiatives This program provides a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact while gaining valuable cross-cultural experience and professional exposure in the field of mental health. Together, we can create safe, supportive environments where individuals can heal, grow, and thrive.
