About the program

UCESCO seek volunteers to teach Chinese Language to the local communities and children at primary and secondary school level in the slums and marginalized areas in Kenya. At UCESCO Africa, we believe language is a bridge that connects cultures, unlocks opportunities, and empowers communities. We are proud to invite passionate and dedicated volunteers from around the world to join our Chinese Language Teaching Program in Kenya. Our initiative is designed to introduce and expand Chinese language skills among students, youth, and professionals in Kenya. With the growing global influence of China and increasing partnerships across Africa, learning Chinese has become a valuable skill for education, business, and cultural exchange. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in equipping learners with practical language skills while fostering cross-cultural understanding and global citizenship. 1. Teach basic to intermediate Mandarin to students in schools, community centers, or training programs. Assist in developing engaging lesson plans and learning materials. Facilitate conversational practice and cultural exchange activities. Inspire and mentor learners to build confidence in speaking and writing Chinese. Collaborate with local educators to enhance language learning experiences We welcome volunteers who: 1. Have proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (native or fluent speakers preferred) 2. Have a passion for teaching, cultural exchange, and community impact. Are adaptable, patient, and enthusiastic about working with diverse groups. Have teaching experience (preferred but not mandatory)
