Meet Triza Lumonyi

Triza Lumonyi is a bright and determined Grade 7 student at Peggy Lucas Junior School. She lives with her family in the Kibera slums of Nairobi, Kenya, where daily life presents many challenges. Despite these circumstances, Triza remains focused on her education and future aspirations.

Her mother works as a hotel waiter, while her father earns a living delivering construction materials. Although they work hard to support their family, providing for school fees, educational materials, and other necessities remains a significant challenge. Triza dreams of becoming a pilot one day. She is inspired by the idea of traveling the world, connecting people, and proving that children from disadvantaged backgrounds can achieve extraordinary things through education and determination.

Her favorite subject is English, where she consistently demonstrates enthusiasm and a strong desire to learn. Outside the classroom, Triza enjoys swimming, an activity that helps her build confidence, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle.
