Blessing's Story
Meet Blessing, A Young Dreamer Who Deserves a Chance. Blessing is a bright and determined 6-year-old Grade 2 pupil growing up in a family of five. She loves learning, with Swahili being one of her favourite subjects, and she carries a beautiful dream for her future: she wants to become a doctor.
Behind that dream, however, is a family struggling to make ends meet. Blessing’s mother is currently unemployed and has no reliable income to consistently provide for the family’s essential needs, including school fees, rent, and food. Her father is present but is currently unable to provide consistent financial support, leaving the responsibility of caring for the family largely on her mother.
For a young child like Blessing, circumstances beyond her control should not determine how far her dreams can go. She has the willingness to learn, the ambition to succeed, and a dream of one day becoming a doctor—but she needs someone to believe in her and walk alongside her.
