UCESCO Africa is proud to celebrate 5 years of impactful partnership with The Citadel - The Military College of South Carolina, United States, a collaboration that has transformed lives through healthcare outreach, volunteer service, education, and community development in Kenya. Over the past 5 years, this partnership has enabled the delivery of free medical services to nearly 50,000 patients (specifically, we treated and saw 46,207 patients) in underserved communities, including Kibera slums (the largest slum in Africa) and surrounding areas of Nairobi. Through medical camps, health education, and community empowerment initiatives, thousands of families have gained access to essential healthcare and support services. A Partnership That Benefits Communities and Students. This collaboration has not only created a lasting impact in Kenya but has also provided The Citadel students with invaluable first-hand international experience. By working directly with local communities, healthcare providers, schools, and grassroots organizations, students have gained practical leadership skills, cultural awareness, and a deeper understanding of global challenges and solutions.
